The line 8 is a subway line going from the Balard station, in the south-west of Paris, in the 15th arrondissement, to the Pointe du Lac station located in Créteil, in the south-east. of the capital. The first section of line 8 was opened in December 1913 and joined Porte d'Auteuil to Opéra.
Line 8 passes through 38 stations and has a total length of 23.4 kilometers. In 2018, it welcomed nearly 108 million travelers, and this number of travelers is growing every year. The total route of line 8 takes approximately 52 minutes.
